Doctrinal Statement
1. We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. All sufficient authority in the matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (1Tim. 3:16)
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (De. 6:4-5; Matt. 3:16-17)
3. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The only begotten son of God. Born by a virgin birth. He is one hundred percent man and one hundred percent God. He died, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead after three days. He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and now is our High Priest and Advocate. (Jn. 3:16; Phil. 2:6-11; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; He. 7:17)
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore is totally depraved. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man's salvation and spiritual life can be obtained. (Ge. 1:26-27, Ep. 2:1-3, Jn. 3:3)
5. We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord and
believed in their hearts that He died, was buried, and rose from the dead for their sins. (Ep. 2:8-9, Rom. 10:9-10)
6. We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior. (Rom. 10:9-10)
7. We believe that baptism is by immersion and Lord's Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are the only two ordinances to be observed by the church in it's present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation. (Rom. 6:3-4, 1 Co. 11:23-32)
8. We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return. (Mk. 13:26, Acts 2:9-11, Rev. 22:12-13)9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead in Christ, the everlasting
blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the eternal punishment and separation from God in hell for those who rejected Jesus Christ as the only son of God. (2 Co. 5:1-8, Jn. 3:16-18)
10. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage it's own affairs under the headship of Christ and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization. (Ep. 4:1-16)
